P3 Researcher shortlisted for Newton Prize

Congratulations to Dr Caspar Chater who has been shortlisted for the 2018 Newton Prize for his work: Improving bean water use efficiency and bean nitrogen fixation under drought using non-transgenic Mesoamerican germplasm.

The project is in collaboration with the Institute of Biotechnology of the National Autonomous University of Mexico, using knowledge from studying model plants in Sheffield and applying it to Mexican bean crops under drought conditions.
